by Marvel Alan Moore and Gary Leach are joined in this Classic tale of Superheroes. Inspired by the original British Comics by the late, great, Mick Anglo these continuing adventures would reach the very pinnacle of Graphic Storytelling which, in turn, led to Alan Davis, Mark Buckingham and Neil Gaiman, amongst others, coming on board to to continue the saga.
Although the original series was published and continued in the states after its humble beginnings in the UK Warrior Magazine Eclipse eventually went on to publish original material. This was a massive story arc and due to the recent legal shenanigans over the rights is now about to be reprinted in these issues.
The original Eclipse ran to 24 issues with a 25th issue having been written and drawn but never published due to the publishers collapse.
However Marvel are publishing not only all of those issues including 25 but will also be continuing and completing the Silver Age storyline that Neil Gaiman had started. However there is no news on whether the title will complete the third arc that Gaiman had planned.
This book is amazing. I remember reading it in Warrior as a kid. In fact I still have those stories. The Warrior stuff ran through to issue 6 of the Eclipse run and was then continued by Alan Moore through until issue 16 featuring the Golden Age.
